Our Dentistp Honored For Humanitarian Effort

Amit Kumar, D.D.S., M.A.D.I.A., with a Vernon Hills dentist skilled in Cosmetic, Implant and General Dentistry, recently participated in a humanitarian trip to Dominican Republic to aid in providing dental services to those in need. Dr. Kumar made the trip as part of Implant Seminars, an organization based out of Miami, Florida.

Dr. Kumar was one of approximately 20 health care professionals making the trip to Dominican Republic to aid underserved patients.

As part of this team, Dr. Kumar and the team performed dental examinations, extractions of infected or decayed teeth and surgical placement of over 400 dental implant procedures, sinus lifts and bone grafts.

Approximately 12 – 15 Rotaplast humanitarian missions take place each year, at a cost of $80,000 to $100,000. Typically over 100 procedures are performed on each trip.
